Exciting Clinked Updates for the Second Half of 2024
As we close out 2024, we’re thrilled to share the latest updates and enhancements to Clinked. These new features are crafted to streamline your workflows, provide greater branding flexibility, and deliver a more personalized experience.
In this blog post, we’re highlighting the top 12 features introduced in the second half of the year. If you’d like to catch up on the improvements introduced earlier this year, be sure to read our blog post on the top 10 new Clinked features from the first half of 2024.
From advanced task management and enhanced branding options to seamless file navigation and refined notification controls, these updates are all about making your Clinked experience smarter, smoother, and more efficient. Let’s dive into the details!
1. Enhanced Groups/Clients Homepage
Managing tasks has never been easier with the new Task Categories Overview Widget. This feature provides a summary of task categories directly on the group homepage, making it simple to track progress and prioritize effectively. To add this widget, go to Clients/Groups > Homepage, click the pencil icon to edit widgets, and select "Group Task Category Summary" from the dropdown. Whether you're managing projects or client tasks, this update keeps you organized at a glance.
2. Sidebar Color Customization
Your portal’s appearance can now better reflect your brand identity with the option to customize the left sidebar color. This small but impactful change allows you to create a more visually cohesive experience for your clients and teams, helping reinforce your branding every time they log in.
3. Default Group Page Selection
We’ve made navigation within groups even more intuitive. You can now designate a specific tool (e.g., files, discussions, or tasks) as the default landing page for each group. This is particularly helpful for teams or clients who frequently use one specific feature. Set this up easily by navigating to Group Settings > Tools, selecting the desired tool, and saving your changes.
4. Top-Level Folder Descriptions
Bring clarity to your folder structure by adding descriptions to folders. This feature is perfect for teams managing large repositories of documents, as it allows you to add helpful notes or context to folders. Users will no longer need to guess what’s inside — the descriptions will provide the clarity they need to work efficiently.
5. File Browsing Enhancements
File navigation just got faster with the addition of Previous and Next buttons. Seamlessly browse through files within folders without constantly returning to the file list. This improvement is especially valuable for reviewing large numbers of documents, saving you both time and effort.
6. Expand/Collapse Metadata Columns
We’ve introduced the ability to collapse or expand the metadata column on file and note views, which includes comments, tags, and other details. This update gives you the flexibility to declutter your workspace when viewing files or quickly access additional information when needed.
7. Group Homepage Announcement Color Picker
Add a personal touch to announcements by customizing the header color of the Announcement Widget on group homepages. Highlight important updates or messages with colors that draw attention and match your brand’s visual style.
8. Note Versions Shown in the Activity Stream
For improved security and transparency, note version deletions and restorations now appear in the Activity Stream or Audit Trails. This feature ensures you can track every action taken on notes, providing accountability and peace of mind for sensitive content.
9. Group Branding Flexibility
You now have greater control over group branding with the option to completely remove group logos. This new feature, accessible via a simple tickbox, allows for a cleaner, more minimalist design if a logo isn’t needed for specific groups.
10. Default Date Format Settings
Say goodbye to inconsistent date formats across your portal. Admins can now enforce a unified date format for all users within the account. This ensures that teams and clients are always on the same page, reducing confusion and enhancing professionalism.
11. Selective Notification Management
Managing notifications is now more precise with the ability to mark individual notifications as “read.” Whether you want to keep some alerts visible while clearing others, this feature puts you in control of your notification inbox.
12. Full Search Prompt
When a search within folders or notes doesn’t return results, Clinked will now prompt you to perform a full search across your portal. This ensures you’re leveraging the full power of Clinked’s search capabilities to locate the information you need.

These updates reflect our commitment to providing tools that empower teams, simplify workflows, and enhance collaboration. Whether it’s improved customization, better navigation, or enhanced security, every feature is designed to help you make the most of your Clinked portal.
