@mention messaging

Mention messaging with team members

It is easy to send targeted messages to a member of your Clinked network via the Mention messaging functionality. When leaving feedback in a comment area or while microblogging, you can “mention” the name(s) of specifically targeted group members to generate an email notification and more visibility in their Activity stream. Similar to Twitter ‘tweets’, a Mention message is also be visible to other team members.

How @mention messaging works

  • While writing a comment, reply or microblog post, type “@”, followed by your colleague’s name(s).
  • Matching member names are displayed as you start typing your targeted member’s name.
  • When sending the message, it will be displayed for the network members as normal.
  • The targeted recipient(s) will be notified in the Activity stream and via email.
